The key theme was “Changing Societies, Changing Education.” Presenters came from over 40 countries and included leading academics to policymakers. This conference was hosted by the Institute of Global Education Policy Studies and the Department of Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the University at Albany, State University of New York. The conference was formed to critically examine PISA&#8217;s educational and policy role and explore the institutional and cultural factors of high scoring countries, including national culture, teacher education, curriculum policies, and governance structures.
